Festival Place is turning up the holiday cheer with Christmas Rocks, a high-energy celebration combining music, dance, and creative fun to make this festive season unforgettable.

With everything from 1950s Rockabilly dancers to impromptu lip-syncing choirs, Festival Place will be transformed into a fun-filled winter wonderland of music and magic, with every corner buzzing with brilliant festivities.

The Christmas Rocks extravaganza kicks off with a dazzling launch event on Saturday, November 16, featuring roaming performers and a Silent Disco that's sure to get everyone’s toes tapping.

Visitors should keep their eyes peeled for Christmas air guitar and lip sync talent spotters, who will encourage them to show off their skills for the chance to win on-the-spot prizes.

And they can put their creativity to the test by picking up one of the instruments on offer at Anvil Arts’ Musication Station, which will be open all weekend.

The drop-in music project will provide a range of electric and acoustic instruments for people of all ages and abilities to try, helped by professional musicians on site.

For those who consider themselves more of a “rap” star, there’s a fast-paced Christmas Wrapping Challenge – anyone who can do the Christmas Wrap in under a minute wins a prize!

Adding to the magical mix are the Rockin’ Robin Roadies, a glamorous acapella trio serenading shoppers with festive tunes, and the Rockabilly Reindeer 1950s dancers, who will have everyone twisting, twirling, and trying out some slick new moves.

Every weekend in the run-up to Christmas, the centre will hum with craft activities for the kids in the mornings, followed by the Pudlets’ Silent Disco Christmas Rocks Party on Saturday afternoons.

Hosted by jolly Christmas pudding elves, the interactive dance parties promise to be fun for the whole family, with the Pudlets guiding everyone from tiny tots to groovy grandparents through their signature Santa-approved moves.

Festival Place’s popular craft space is also back, transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

Every weekend, families can enjoy eco-friendly, music-themed crafts — from making Christmas decorations to designing fun accessories for the Saturday afternoon silent disco.

Sian Fisher, marketing manager at Festival Place, said: “We’re so excited to bring the whole community together for this festive musical extravaganza!
