More cardiac rehabilitation gym classes are being launched in Basingstoke due to a growing need.
The Basingstoke Aquadrome has announced that it has added two extra sessions a week of its cardiac rehabilitation gym classes, which are aimed at supporting people recovering from a range of heart-related conditions.
These additional sessions take the total amount of cardiac rehabilitation classes held at the Aquadrome to five a week.

Gym supervisor Aaron Boyd said: "Our job as health and wellbeing professionals is to support all sectors of the community on their journeys towards more active, healthier lives.
"By adding in extra cardiac classes, it will allow us to help even more people access the specialist support they need."
All cardiac classes are via NHS referral. If you’re interested in attending one of the sessions, please contact your GP who can begin the referral process, or contact the team at the Aquadrome, who will be able to offer support.
The borough council's cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture, Cllr Kerry Morrow, said: "It is great news that more cardiac rehabilitation classes are being launched at the Aquadrome, helping to meet the large demand for this vital specialist support."
