Runners can sign up to take part in next year's Festival 5k race in Basingstoke.

The Croudace Festival 5k will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

The event, which is organised by Destination Basingstoke, gives runners the chance to run through Festival Place.

The organisers, along with sponsors Croudace Homes and Festival Place, are encouraging businesses to take part as a team-building activity.

People who sign up before Wednesday, January 1 can take advantage of an early bird discount.

Places are limited and the event often sells out, so runners are encouraged to enter soon.

The organisers are continuing with their initiative to make the race more sustainable. Instead of a free t-shirt, a tree will be planted for every participant.

Matthew Norris, managing director of Croudace Homes (South Thames), said: "Croudace has a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities in which we operate, and our partnership with Destination Basingstoke is one of which we are extremely proud.

"We are delighted, therefore, to once again be the main sponsor of this exciting and popular race, which is open to people of all abilities and across a wide age range.

"As a responsible business, committed to reducing our own carbon emissions, we are particularly pleased to hear of the continued involvement of Trees Not Tees and the initiative to plant a tree for every runner who participates.

"Good luck to everyone who enters."

Jonathan Pender, chair of Destination Basingstoke, said: "Thank you to headline sponsor Croudace Homes and to event sponsor Festival Place for their ongoing support which is key to making this popular event happen.

"We hope people will make the most of the early bird offer, and look forward to seeing everyone on March 2."
