A pet crematorium has announced a special event to honour beloved pets.

Dignity Pet Crematorium, in Winchfield, which helps around 12,000 families each year, will hold its annual Dignity Christmas Charity Baubles celebrations on Tuesday, December 3.

The event will be led by Reverend Tara Hellings, and will see the Christmas lights switched on.

At the centre is a large monkey puzzle tree, decorated with more than 250 baubles, each one celebrating a pet's life and memory.

All the money raised from the Christmas charity baubles goes to 10 charities, including Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary and Guide Dogs.

Pet crematorium owner Kevin Spurgeon said: "It is very special event. All of the Dignity team will be involved in the candle-lit celebration.

"It allows us to make a difference to those less-fortunate pets.

"Seeing all of the baubles lit up as the lights go on reminds us how many families we have helped."

Dignity Pet Crematorium was established in 1992 by Barry and Carole Spurgeon and is now led by their son, Kevin.

The award-winning crematorium specialises in personalised individual pet cremations.
