A FAMILY-owned business materials supplier based in Tadley has acquired a window manufacturing company to help it become a 'one-stop shop for customers'.

Elliotts was founded in 1842, making it one of the oldest family businesses in South England, and owns 13 branches across the region for both trade builders and the public.

The company, now run by Tom Elliott, the family's sixth generation to take the helm, acquired Futuremost Group Limited, which installs and makes windows at its case in Portsmouth.

The addition of the company to Elliotts' portfolio means that the business now owns builders merchants, living spaces, roofing and window companies, which will help Elliotts 'strengthen its position in the construction market'.

The Tadley-based company, which has a branch in Brick Kiln Industrial Estate, recently earned the Employer of the Year title at the Solent 250 Awards, a ceremony celebrating the 'top businesses in the region'.

CEO Tom Elliott said: "Our goal is to become a complete one-stop shop for our customers, and the acquisition of Futuremost is a significant step towards that.

"This move expands our product range and strengthens our position in the construction market.

"Futuremost’s values and reputation for quality align perfectly with ours. With 37 years of industry expertise and a loyal customer base, they’re a great fit for Elliotts.

"I’m looking forward to working together to build a stronger business."
