The plan was drawn up by local people and adopted by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council on July 18, after a referendum in which 97.9 per cent of residents who voted were in favour of the plan.
The plan now forms part of the council’s development plan for the parish and will be used when considering planning applications in the area.
Cllr Putty said: “My congratulations to everyone that has been involved in the process to bring this Neighbourhood Plan to fruition. A great deal of hard work has been undertaken by the local community in making the plan.
“Neighbourhood planning allows local people to have a real say in decisions affecting the future development of their communities.”
