HEAVY rain brought by Storm Bert is set to batter the UK this weekend, but when are you expected to have to bring out your umbrella in Basingstoke?

The Met Office has forecast that the town will be hit with rain on Saturday and Sunday, following the frost that saw snowfall over the area.

If you're heading out over the weekend, you'd be encouraged to wear a raincoat as a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued, predicting travel disruption and flooding.
