HOMEBASE in Basingstoke has been put up for sale following uncertainty about the future of the DIY store.
The chain collapsed into administration earlier this month, with Teneo appointed to manage the struggling Homebase chain after it suffered financial difficulties linked to declining consumer spending, high inflation, and supply chain disruptions.
Administrators struck a deal to sell 70 stores to retail group CDS, which owns The Range and Wilko, saving up to 1,600 jobs.

However, the Basingstoke branch was not sold to CDS, with questions raised about what would happen to the shop.
Administrators have now placed the Basingstoke location on the market, setting a deadline of November 29 for potential buyers to purchase the store, along with 73 others.
The Homebase press office previously told the Gazette that it didn't provide information about the future of specific stores.
It added that administrators are “continuing active discussions with interested parties” regarding the remaining locations and assured that there are no immediate redundancies planned.
Other stores that have been put up for sale include branches in Oxfordshire, Manchester, Devon, Essex, Northumberland, Berkshire, Kent, Derby, Coventry, Farnham, Hove, Hexham, Honiton, Hull, Leamington Spa, Luton and more.
