The arts organisation that runs The Anvil and The Haymarket has been gifted stage lights.

The donation from TSL Lighting Ltd will help Anvil Arts reduce its environmental impact by reusing equipment.

The lights, known as Fresnels, provide superior light output, enhancing the experience for audiences and performers.

Anvil Arts' assistant production manager Jamie Bond said: "Receiving this donation of Selecon Rama lights allowed us to replace our ageing fixtures, which were both heavier and produced only half the illumination.

"Thanks to TSL, we can now provide a much better, brighter stage wash from our overhead bars, meaning a better experience for both audiences and performers."

Basingstoke-based TSL Lighting, which project manages and supplies equipment for events, has been supporting local venues through the donation of well-maintained lighting equipment as it updates its inventory.

A spokesman for TSL said: "Our latest partnership is with Anvil Arts, which operates three fantastic cultural venues in Basingstoke: The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Forge.

"By passing on our equipment for regular reuse, we reinforce our commitment to sustainability and give these fixtures a new stage to shine on.

"We look forward to seeing them in action, particularly in the upcoming panto season."
