ALEX Brewer, MP for North East Hampshire, continued with her pledge to fight for the NHS during Prime Minister's Questions today, with Keir Starmer failing to give her a direct answer.
During the latest Prime Minister's Question Time (PMQs) on Wednesday, November 27, Alex Brewer asked a question on behalf of GPs in her constituency.
She explained to the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, that "after years of neglect of the previous Conservative government," GP surgeries across North East Hampshire are "preparing now for huge bills to pay increased employer National Insurance contributions."
She added: "Hart Health Partnership in Fleet estimates this will cost them three nursing salaries and have already reduced staff hours by 50 per week, with more cuts due in January.

"Can the Prime Minister please tell GPs in my constituency which patient services they should cut in order to pay the bills?"
The Prime Minister responded, saying he agreed with her initial statement and added that the NHS is "broken."
He said: "Mr Speaker, she's absolutely right that the NHS was broken by the last administration and the Darzi report makes that absolute - they should hang their heads in shame quite frankly."
He added that a "huge investment" was made into the NHS in the recent budget.
"We are providing in the budget, £22bn of additional funding this year for our NHS.
"That's a huge investment in our NHS, which is much welcomed across the NHS, much needed across the NHS."
However, he failed to directly answer the question posed by Alex Brewer, instead stating that the government will work with GPs to determine how they are funded.
He said: "We will of course work with GPs and consult the sector on the services they provide and the money that they're entitled to in return and all of that funding will be confirmed in the usual way."
