THE Women’s World Day of Prayer takes place on Thursday, February 26, and has been prepared by the women of Papua New Guinea.
There is a service at Christ the King, Brighton Hill, Basingstoke, at 10am, when the speaker will be Dorothy Lusmore, a former missionary in Papua New Guinea.
The service at All Saints’, Odiham, takes place on Friday, March 6, at noon, followed by a quick lunch.

CHURCHES Together in Whitchurch commence their Lent meetings on Wednesday, March 4, at 7.30pm, when the Reverend Peter Catford, the newly-appointed Methodist minister, will be leading a study on the Lord's Prayer.
The meeting will take place at the Methodist Church. All welcome.
LENT Bible studies are starting. This week, I will tell you about the series at the United Reformed Church, in London Street, Basingstoke, on Thursday, March 5, at 7.30pm, entitled “Faith, Hope and Love”.
It will be led by the interim moderator the Reverend George Thomas.
Subsequent evenings will be on Wednesday, March 11, 18 and 25 and April 2.
