THE Basingstoke Bison returned to the top of the English Premier League after they beat the visiting Slough Jets 4-1 and leaders Guildford lost in Manchester 6-1.
It was not all plain sailing for home side as the Jets had the better of the first 20 minutes and led 1-0 thanks to Michael Wales.
However, the last 40 minutes was a different story as a brace from Doug Sheppard and single goals from Tony Redmond andGreg Owen secured the victory.
