THE Basingstoke Bison kept alive their hopes of a place in the final of the English Premier League Cup despite losing 3-2 in the first leg of their semi-final in Slough last Wednesday.
The Herd hauled themselves back from 2-0 and 3-1 down against the Jets to set-up a mouth-watering second leg in Basingstoke on Wednesday, February 20.
Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard said: “We did not play as well as we can, but we have got ourselves into a position where we can advance to the final, which is what we wanted to do.
“Stevie (Lyle) had a great game for us and produced a game-breaking save right at the end of the match to keep it as a one-goal game.”
