KINGSCLERE and Aldermaston beat the wet weather to play games in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship last week – but both may be wishing they had been washed out after suffering heavy defeats.
Travelling to top-of-the-table Farnham Royal was always going to be a big ask for Kingsclere and the high-flyers had too much for them, running out 48-10 winners.
Struggling Aldermaston fared even worse away at mid-table Crowthorne, losing 67-0. They host Berkshire Shire Hall on Saturday, while Kingsclere have a week off.
Tadley remain second-bottom in Southern Counties North after their trip to Olney was postponed. They are due to host mid-table Drifters at Red Lane on Saturday.
Despite not having a game scheduled, Overton moved up to second in the Hampshire Two table as Ventnor had five points deducted. They host struggling Alresford in a local derby on Saturday.
Chineham’s home game against leaders Solent University was postponed and they are due to travel to mid-table Nomads this weekend.
