WINNING is a habit and the Basingstoke Bison will look to continue that on the back of their first four-point weekend of the season, when the Cardiff Devils are in town on Saturday, November 25, at 6.30pm.

The Herd skated away to 4-0 and 4-1 victories over the Hull Stingrays last weekend, which moved the team into the Elite League play-off places.

Cardiff's visit will be the first in the league this season, but the sides have twice locked horns in the Challenge Cup, which saw the Devils win 6-4, while the other game was tied 3-3.

Both games proved to be top-class entertainment, and there is no reason to think that Saturday's game will be any different, as the clubs have built up a good rivalry in recent years.

The Herd are set to retain the services of British forward Gary Clark after the Buffalo assistant coach returned to the Bison after five years last Saturday and did not look out of place.

The visitors, who suffered their first road defeat in five games at Sheffield last weekend, will have hardman Brad Voth back in their line-up after he missed that game due to suspension.

With renewed confidence and looking forward to the weekend, Bison player/ coach Doug Sheppard said: "It was great to win back-to-back games. It showed we are moving in the right direction. Our victory on the road was long overdue, but now we have started winning, we want to carry it on and we know the game against Cardiff will be a tight one."

He added: "With just one game this weekend, it is more important that we win so that we do not lose ground in the standings."
