I MUST say a huge thank-you to all of the supporters who travelled to Telford for Tuesday’s FA Cup replay. You were unbelievable before, during and after the game.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the result we all desperately wanted and knowing the prize we missed out on – a trip to Bristol City in the next round – makes it harder.
After a slow start, the players gave everything in the second half and with a little bit more quality or luck in front of goal it would have been us celebrating at the final whistle.
I believe that over the two games we were the better side and that is a huge positive. The players deserve a huge amount of praise but must now knuckle down and start picking up points in the league again.
This Saturday we travel to Hemel Hempstead Town, who beat us on the opening day of the season. They are very organised and a hard-working side, so we must channel all our energy and disappointment from recent games into getting three points.
Regards,
Jason
