WE NOW have three games left and our destiny is still to be decided.

It’s great that we are approaching this stage of the season with so much still at stake and it’s a credit to the squad of players, who have put themselves in such a fantastic position.

Last Saturday at Hayes and Yeading United, the squad again showed their determination to win. Once we were reduced to nine men, I felt very comfortable that we would not concede as we train for instances like that.

We have good experience and knowledge on the pitch to keep our structure and we could have scored a second goal when Chris Flood went on a mazy run and was unfortunate not to hit the net.

On Monday, Farnborough came to us and played with a certain amount of freedom. Credit to them for that.

It was a frustrating first half for us but the second half was an improvement and we had more sustained pressure after the break. Credit must go to the players for remaining patient and not panicking when things weren’t going our way, particularly in the first half.

We believe that the players will give us a 90-minute performance. They have shown that time and time again this season, gaining a lot of points really late in games.

On Saturday, we will come up against a Sutton side that has the quality to cause any team in this division problems. They will be disappointed with their league campaign but will be determined to finish well.

Then, our home game against Havant and Waterlooville the following week will be huge as the final standings will very nearly be finalised.

Regards,

Jason
