TWO games and two defeats is not a good start to the season for us but we must not panic.
There has been some excellent football played by our team in the two games and we could easily have four or six points on the board.
If we had taken something from both games, I don’t think there would have been too many complaints from our opponents.
However, the fact of the matter is that we have not taken anything from either of our opening games and we must improve on certain things.
During pre season, and in the first couple of games, we have conceded some very avoidable goals.
Meanwhile, when it comes to the final third we need to find a bit more in the way of end product.
We have played some great football, but our final ball and our finishing hasn’t quite been right.
As I have already said, some of the football we have played has been excellent and we must not stray from our beliefs.
We are a very good team and I know we will get the rewards that our play and hard work deserves.
On the academy and under-21 front, we have been working hard during the summer and will be working with roughly 70 full-time players this season.
There are still a few places available, so if you are interested please contact the club.
We have some great games coming up. They continue to come thick and fast throughout August and we are looking forward to the challenge of the season ahead.
As always, your support and patience as fans is always appreciated by staff and players alike. I hope you enjoy the season.
Regards,
Jason
