LONDON Irish climbed off the bottom of the Premiership thanks to 20-15 victory over Newcastle Falcons at the Madejski Stadium.
the Exiles led 6-0 at half-time thanks to a couple of the penalties from Chris Noakes.
Alex Lewington's then scored a try straight from the kick-off at the start of the second half and Topsy Ojo's added another score three minutes later to make it 20-0.
However, the Falcons hit back as Andy Goode kicked a penalty and tries from Nili Latu and Marcus Watson set up a frantic finale, but the Exiles held on.
London Irish take a break from Premiership action this weekend, when they entertain Grenoble in the Challenge Cup on Saturday (3pm).
