LONDON Irish returned to Premiership action and lost 38-10 at Sale Sharks.
The Exiles only trailed 12-10 at half-time, but four unanswered tries in the second half saw Sale maintain their unbeaten home record this season.
Tries from Brian Mujati and TJ Ioane had the home side ahead at the break.
In reply, Exiles’ fly half Shane Geraghty kicked five points, including converting a penalty try.
Within a minute of the restart, Sam James went over for Sale's third try.
This was followed by a pair of Nev Edwards tries and then Sam Tuitupou also went over.
Irish have a big game next Sunday (1pm) when they entertain fellow Premiership strugglers Worcester.
