LONDON Irish's stay in the top flight of English rugby is over after 22 years, after they were relegated to the Championship, after losing 32-25 to visiting Harlequins on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors were quick out of the blocks in the clash, as Charlie Walker twice went over and Ross Chisholm also scored a try in the first 22 minutes.
The Exiles hit back as Luke Narraway and Asaeli Tikoirotuma both scored to make it 25-15 at half-time.
After the break, the home side levelled things thanks to David Paice, but Quins broke Irish hearts with a late try from Kyle Sinckler.
The Exiles complete their Premiership campaign with a tough away game at Wasps on Saturday.
