OVERTON United complete their Hampshire Premier League at home to Locks Heath hoping to end with a win.
Last Saturday, they suffered their seventh 3-2 loss of the season at home to Paulsgrove.
The home side took the lead after a superb ball from Andrew Bulloch saw Johnie Gurney slot home his ninth goal of the season.
Overton were then reduced to 10 men as Sammy Aldoori was sent-off for a high tackle, but it remained 1-0 to half-time.
After the break, the visitors levelled and were then also reduced to 10 men.
Paulsgrove took the lead with six minutes left and Overton pushed forward and were caught on the break making 3-1.
The home side still kept going and Bulloch pulled a goal back, and Kirk Smith fired over late on, as they nearly grabbed an equaliser.
Manager Gregor Restell said: "It was another cracking game, but once again we have lost by a single goal. I really hope we can end the season with a win this weekend."
