AFC ALDERMASTON suffered a 4-2 defeat on the opening day of the Hellenic League Division One East campaign, at the hands of Wokingham and Emmbrook.
The visitors took the lead in the 14th minute thanks to Ben Knight, but five minutes later home striker Kai Parton-Edey levelled things.
A brace of goals from Wokingham’s Luke Scope in the space six minutes made it 3-1 at half-time.
The visitors added a fourth on 70 minutes from Elliot Rushforth, before Daniel Atkinson pulled a goal back for the Atom Boys.
This Saturday, Aldermaston are on their travels to Bicester, who won 2-1 at Wallingford on the opening day of the season.
