WHITCHURCH United recorded their biggest win of the season, as they beat visiting New Milton 4-0 in the Wessex League Division One.
The Jam Boys scored two goals in half with Keiran Maylen getting the opener from a free-kick and then Maylen got the assist as Jack Ormiston netted his first of a brace.
After the interval, Ormiston grabbed his second from a Lloyd Thompson rebound.
The home side then left the best goal to last, as Thompson beat the out rushing goalkeeper to the ball and then lobbed it over two defenders into the net from 30 yards out.
At the the end, Whitchurch goalkeeper Jephthe Doguie made two good saves to complete a clean sheet.
A delighted manager Carl Bennett said: “I was really pleased with the performance and it was great to get a clean sheet.”
This weekend, Bennett will return to old club Romsey for the first time hoping his side can build on Saturday’s win.
Bennett said: “They are doing well at the moment so I am expecting a tough game.”
