TADLEY Calleva are one victory away from promotion from the Wessex League Division One after they chalked up their eighth straight win, with a 4-1 win over Downton.
The side now know that if they beat visiting Laverstock and Ford on Saturday, they will be going up.
Manager Danny Dolan said: "I am absolutely delighted with the way we are playing and now it would be great to finished on Saturday. I cannot praise the boys enough."
They could only need a point from the game, if US Portsmouth are unable to beat leaders Christchurch this evening.
In the victory over Downton, Paul Coventry opened the scoring from Connor Thorne's cross.
Leading scorer Brett Denham took his tally to 25 as Tadley made it 2-0 at the break.
After the interval, Danny Vickers and Andrew Charsley both struck, before Downton scored a late consolation.
Last Saturday, Tadley had an excellent 4-2 win away at Totton and Eling as Thorne, Scott Kinge, Chris Morris and Andrew Charsley all scored.
Tadley wrap up what they hope is a promotion campaign with a trip to Fawley on Monday.
