SILCHESTER based Hannah Smith won both the singles and doubles titles at the Nottingham Tennis Europe tournament.
Without dropping a single set throughout the five rounds, Smith won the Girls 14u Tennis Europe event held in Nottingham.
Playing some attacking tennis from the start, Smith won the first round against Bartlett 6-4 6-2, before defeating French player Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah 6-4 6-3.
In the quarter final the Silchester ace played Nora Khediri winning 6-3 6-0 to set up a semi-final meeting against Sofia Johnson.
Smith earned her place in the Tennis Europe final with a 6-1 6-2 victory, also winning the final against Kristina Paskauskas 6-2, 6-2.
In the doubles event, Smith teamed up with Great Britain team mate Eva Shaw, the pairing seeded one had a bye in the first round but had to battle hard to win the second round match 6-2 7-5 against Holmes and Mcdonald.
The semi-final against the number three seeds pairing of Kells and Tatu, saw Smith and Shaw combining well to win 6-2 6-2 to reach the final against second seeds Paskaukas and Hall.
After losing the first set in a tight tie break, Smith and Shaw fought back to win the second set 6:2 and go on to take the title winning the final set tie break 10-2.
A week earlier, Smith entered the Girls 18u National Tour event held in Sutton, teaming up with Oliver Rook the unseeded pairing won their first round doubles match against Aubin and Watton 6-4 6-1 before meeting second seeds Beazley and Piper winning 6-0 6-1 and battling their way into the final with victory over Ruggieri and Southwick in the semi-final 6-1 6-4.
The final against Howard and Moen the number one seeded paring was a close battle, losing the first set 6-3, Smith and Rook stormed into an early lead in the second set quickly finding themselves 5-0 up, but the number one seeds fought back strongly before Smith and Rook took the second set 6-4.
The final set tie break was a cliff hanger with both sides having match points, eventually Smith and Rook clinched the title winning 13-11.
Smith's success has seen her selected for the LTA Great Britain National under-14 team to compete at the Grade 1 Tennis Europe event held in Messina Italy at the beginning of June.
