HOOK and Newnham Basics will be looking for winning double this weekend.
On Saturday, their travel to north Hampshire rivals Andover in the Southern League Division One and then on Sunday they entertain Premier side Burridge in the T20 Cup.
Captain Matt Love said: "They are both tough games, but winnable. If we get back to doing the basics right."
Shane Brewer misses the trip to Andover, so Jordan Hobday returns.
Last Saturday, Hook found visiting leaders Bournemouth too hot to handle as they lost by 119 runs.
The visitors having won the toss and deciding to bat got off to a great start, as openers Nick Park (49) and Martin Miller (54) put on 102 for the first wicket.
Rhodes Franklin parted the opening pairing having Park trapped leg before,
The home side then hit back thanks to spinner Anik Divecha (3-25), but some big hitting at the end of the innings from Jake Hurley (44) from 29 balls, which included six fours and a six, as well as George Wilson, with 23 in 18 balls saw the Dorset side to 263-7.
The Hook reply did not get off to the best of starts as Richard Willcock and Harry Warner were both back in the pavilion with only 15 scored.
Josh Buckingham (24) was the third man out with the score on 44 and captain Matt Love (40) tried to keep the innings going.
However, when the skipper fell with the score on 97-6, the game looked lost.
This proved to be the case, but not before Franklin scored an excellent 21 including a straight six.
He along with Shaun Brewer (10) and Ben Peart (17) moved the home side’s score to 144 all out.
This coming weekend, Hook have a north Hampshire derby away at seventh placed Andover.
