WHITCHURCH boss Glyn Cherrett starts his first full season in charge, hoping to guide the Jam Boys up the Wessex League Division One table.
Last season, Whitchurch finished last term in 13th place and open with a home game against Verwood, who finished 17th.
Last term, the Jam Boys ended their campaign with an unbeaten run of four games at Longmeadow, so hopefully they can carry on this run.
On Tuesday night, Whitchurch have a tough looking Hampshire Senior Cup first round tie at AFC Stoneham.
Looking ahead to the campaign Cherrett said: "We have had a good pre-season against a lot of physical sides and I feel we have done well. We have made a few additions and I don't think a top six place is beyond us. I think our Hampshire Cup tie will be a tough as Stoneham are always good at home."
Last Saturday, Whitchurch were just edged out by Abingdon United at Longmeadow, being beaten 2-1, as Lloyd Thompson scored the home side's goal.
