NEWLY promoted Tadley Calleva got their Wessex League Premier Division campaign off to a superb start with a 3-1 home win over Fareham Town.
The home side gave debuts to Harry Pearson, Chad Abrams, Elliot Parker, Elliot Amadieu and former Basingstoke Town man Simeon Howell.
However, it did not start the way Tadley wanted as Fareham opened the scoring after two minutes from Cal Laycock.
The home side had chances to level from Amadieu and Danny Vickers hit the bar as it remained 1-0 at the break.
three minutes into the second half, Tadley hit the crossbar again this time from Shaun Dallimore.
The home side then levelled thing just after the hour mark from Sam Hamilton and two minutes later, sub Brett Denham headed home a Aaron Parfitt corner to give the home side the lead.
Tadley made sure of the victory with a third goal a minute into injury time as another Parfitt header found the head of Dallimore, before Howell on his debut applied the finish.
Tomorrow night, Tadley are at home again, when Bemerton Heath Harlequins are the visitors.
