THOMAS Nightingale was certainly on song for Sarisbury Athletic, as he helped them to a four-wicket victory at Hook and Newnham Basics.
The visiting batsman scored an unbeaten 78, as Sarisbury beat the rain and wrapped their victory in 29 overs.
It was a depleted home side who batted first and only three players made double figures, as they were all out for 147.
Opener Jordan Hobday returned 21, captain Matt Love top scored with 59, and Rhodes Franklin made 40.
Tom Kitcher (4-25), Josh Hill (3-30) and Jordan Wright (3-34) shared the wickets.
In Sarisbury’s reply, Shane Brewer (2-44) removed opening pair Ricky Rawlins (16) and Sam Floyd (18) and Richie Willcock accounted for third man Daniel Clouting.
However, Nightingale then took centre stage with a match winning innings, even if Will Gardner took 3-37, the visitors got home with four wickets to spare.
Weather permitting today, Hook host Hartley in their T20 Cup semi-final clash, which is due to start at 3pm
