NEWLY promoted Tadley Calleva maintained their 100 per cent start to their Wessex League Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win at Brockenhurst.
The victory means Tadley are second in the table on goal difference behind league title favourites Sholing.
In a even game in the New Forest, the home side had an early chance and then Shaun Dallimore headed over from a corner.
Dallimore then tested the home goalkeeper Matt Taylor with a shot and Tadley's goalkeeper Chris Harris produced a good save as the first half ended 0-0.
The visitors scored their winner on 79 minutes as Cameron Grange found Scott Hamilton 40 yards and with the home goalkeeper off his line, the Tadley man fired the ball over him into the net.
After this the home side went looking for an equaliser and Harris produced a great save near the end to make sure of the Tadley win.
A delighted Tadley boss Danny Dolan said: "It has been an unbelievable start. We went to Brockenhurst with eight players missing and this just shows how strong our squad is. I would have been happy with point, but to get three was an added bonus. It think it says a lot about the attitude and commitment of the players."
Tomorrow night, Tadley are in Hampshire Senior Cup first round action at unbeaten Wessex Div One side AFC Stoneham and then on Saturday travel to Bashley for their next league outing.
