AFC ALDERMASTON gained sweet revenge for a 5-0 loss against Wokingham and Embrook on the final day of last season, with a 2-1 success in this year's opener.
Aldermaston started with five debutants in their line up and former player Michael Porter back in the team after a year away with Woodley United.
The visitor's dominance in the first half paid off when a free-kick saw summer signing, Devonn Read head home.
The Atomics could have doubled their lead when a through ball found Josh Blackwood and he raced onto the ball and slotted only for it to be ruled offside.
Porter then had a guilt edged chance to head home from a Callum Eaton cross, but it went wide.
The Suma’s started to pick their tails up and equalised.
The home side had a good spell in the second half, before Aldermaston scored the winner on 89 minutes.
Sub Zach Tull stepped up and 25 yards out scored with a great free-kick.
Aldermaston are away this Saturday to Abingdon Town.
