OVERTON United travelled to Liphook on Monday to face a side fresh from a 9-1 victory.
However, the north Hampshire made light work of their opponents winning 3-1.
The home side came out the blocks quickly but after a great save from Craig Atkinson.
Overton hit back as Finley Hall wide on the right which resulted in their left back clipping him from behind in the box.
Former Basingstoke Town striker George Hallahan stepped up and tucked away the penalty on his debut.
After the break, Liphook scored against the run of play, bit Overton grabbed the lead back following a spectacular strike from Alex Jupp from about 30 yards out.
Despite being reduced to nine men after some questionable decisions, Hall made sure of the points with a deserved goal.
Overton's next game is away at Locks Heath on Wednesday, September 5.
