OVERTON United moved up to third in Hampshire Premier League, as they extended their winning run to a magnificent seven games.
This week, Overton hosted mid table Sway and came out 1-0 winners, as Christian Cox scored the winner in the second half.
Joint manager Joe Lawler said: "We had some illness running through the camp so it was great to see a battling performance, and come away with a 1-0 win.
"I felt Sway were a very well organised team and hard to break down, the first half was pretty even I felt we certainly edged it on possession and attacking intent however we found it very difficult to break their defence down and create many clear cut chances.
"Throughout the 90 minutes I felt we really looked solid defensively, which has been a really good change from our early season form and one of the main reasons we have managed seven wins in a row."
Saturday, Overton host Colden Common at Bridge Street.
Lawler added: "We will be looking for another three points and hopefully get another good crowd to get behind the boys."
