TADLEY Calleva enjoyed another great victory in their first season in the Wessex League Premier Division as they won at Alresford 2-1.
Returning striker Brett Denham was denied in the first minute and then Denham nearly converted a chance from Sam Hamilton later in the half.
Soon after, Paul Coventry released Danny Vickers, but his shot flew over the bar.
Tadley then took the lead after 18 minutes as Denham tapped home a Coventry cross.
Soon after the interval, Connor Thorne went close to adding a second after good work by Jake Nicholls and Denham.
The home side then went close as Sean O'Brien made a great save.
Tadley then made it 2-0 as subs Daryll Phillips and Cameron George combined with George slotting home.
A minute later, Alresford pulled a goal back as former Town and Hartley striker Rowan Vine netted to set up a tense finish.
A delighted Danny Dolan said: "It was a massive result and we should have won by more."
This Saturday, fourth placed Tadley travel to Portland, who are sixth and will be minus Shaun Dallimore and Cameron George.
On Tuesday night, Tadley were knocked out of the Hampshire Senior Cup as they lost to the visiting Royal Navy.
The home side came back from 2-0 down to level things thanks to a brace from Jamie Reid.
The Navy side took the lead again and then Chad Abrams was sent-off for handling on the line and the penalty made it 4-2.
Adam Alliston reduced to the lead to one, but the visitors scored again to take their second Wessex scalp of the competition.
