ROMFORD once again proved not to be a happy hunting ground for the Basingstoke Bison as they lost 3-2.
The home side opened the scoring at 16:51 from Juraj Huska
The Herd tied the game up at 23:31 thanks to a powerplay strike from Michal Klejna which was assisted by man of the match Adam Jones and Adam Harding.
Seven minutes later, the Raiders took the lead again from JJ Pitchley and then two minutes later Sean Barry made it 3-1.
With 74 seconds left in the game the Bison set up a frantic finale, as Harding scored from Russ Cowley and Ashley Tait.
Then with 37 seconds left, the Herd pulled their goalie, but were unable to force the game into overtime.
The Bison are next in action on Thursday night on home ice, when they face the Peterborough Phantoms in the South Cup final first leg.
Then on Saturday they have the change for quick revenge over the Raiders when they travel to Basingstoke
