LUKE Stoneman continued his superb rookie season with another couple of podiums this time at Oulton Park.
The Basingstoke rider was looking to build on his success from his opening meeting at Brands Hatch as once again he took part in the Motorcycle Racing Club Rookie 600 Championships.
In his first outing he finished just two tenths off third place and with the second fastest lap in race one it put him on the front row of the grid.
However, in race two did not go to plan as a fuelling issue saw the bike cut out 200 metres from the line.
During the Oulton meeting Stoneman also raced in two non rookie races and came away with two podium finishes with a second place in race one and third in the second outing.
Looking back on the weekend Stoneman said: I had a positive ride overall and due to my pace and my results the club awarded me the best rookie rider of the day, to which I was very very pleased with.
"It was a shame I lost points in the second race of my championship."
The Basingstoke rider is looking for sponsorship to make sure he can complete the season and anyone who can help him can contact the rider by email luke.stoneman@hotmail.co.uk
