Reading eased their relegation fears with a very creditable 1-1 draw against play-off chasing Bristol City at a balmy Ashton Gate.
Yakou Meite grabbed his fifth goal in five games to give the Royals the lead on 48 minutes before Josh Brownhill equalised for the hosts with 18 minutes remaining.
City started the game on the front foot but Reading keeper Emi Martinez was in inspired form between the sticks.
Reading came back into it after the break and Nelson Oliviera had a great chance to win it late on but was denied by an excellent block from Bailey Wright.
The draw, before this afternoon’s fixtures, puts Reading five points ahead of the relegation zone with three games to go as they get set to face West Brom at home on Easter Monday (3pm).
