BASINGSTOKE Town's awful away form this season continued with a 2-1 defeat at local rivals Farnborough.
the visitors made one change to the side which won at home to Frome, with Kian Duncan coming into the midfield replacing Michael Atkinson.
After an even opening, the Town so neatly opened the scoring as Yvan Jourdan nearly added to his goal last Saturday, but his effort came back off the post.
The home made the most of the let off and took the lead on the 40 minute mark, as Reggie Young was allowed to cut in from the left and struck a super striker into the top corner.
Town opened the second half with a string of corners which came to nothing.
On 55 minutes the visitors made a double change with Ben Wright and Harry Pearse coming on for Reece Rusher and Jourdan.
Four minutes later, the Dragons levelled things as sub Wright and Sam Deadfield combined for Argent to score.
The visitors then went close to taking the lead as Argent and Pearse both went close.
Just when it looked like Town would take home a point, Farnborough scored the winner seven minutes from time.
This came after a corner was only cleared to Michael Fernandes and he played in Perry Coles to smash the ball into the roof of the net.
