BASINGSTOKE and North Hants were knocked-out of the National Club Championships as they lost their third round tie by nine wickets to top Surrey side Normandy.
The visitors were put into bat and lost captain Dan Belcher for three with just eight scored.
After this all the top batsmen got started, but no one went on to make a big score, as Max Harsham made 16, Brad Porteous 20, Hampshire Academy player George Metzger 29 and Jordan Hobday 16.
The Bountymen then slipped from 79-3 to 96-7, before Joe Oates batting at number eight top scored with an unbeaten 33 helping them to 140 all out, having used 31 of their 40 overs.
The home side made light work of their total, chasing it down in the 27th over with the loss of just one wicket Neal Prowse (33), he was caught by Hobday off the bowling of Oates.
Charlie Young (53) and Chris Jones (49) then shared an unbroken second wicket partnership of 95, to see Normandy to victory to earn an away tie in the regional final at Havant.
