JUSTIN Rose is tied fourth going into the final round of today’s Open Championship but is seven shots behind leader Shane Lowry.
Irishman Lowry produced one of the great major rounds yesterday, as he hit a brilliant eight under 63 at Royal Portrush.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood is his closest rival on 12 under, with JB Holmes on 10 under and Rose and Brook Koepka one back from there.
Former Robert May’s pupil Rose has so far carded rounds of 69, 67 and 68.
With adverse weather forecast for today the tee off times have been brought forward and Rose starts his final round at 1.27pm.
