READING recorded their first league of the season this afternoon as they beat visiting Cardiff City 3-0.
The victory catapulted the Royals up to 17th in the Championship table, having started the day rock bottom.
Reading took 25 minutes to open the scoring from George Puscas on his home debut.
The same player then doubled the advantage for the home side five minutes before half-time.
It was left to John Swift to complete the scoring seven minutes from time.
Reading will hope to build on this win on Wednesday night, when they travel to West Brom.
