IT WAS third time lucky for Tadley Calleva in the Wessex League Premier Division as they chalked up their first win of the league campaign 4-2 at Solent University last Saturday.
However, the visitors did it the hard way as they had to come back from 2-0 down.
New skipper Brett Denham got them back on terms by half-time his second coming from the penalty spot.
After the break, Daryll Phillips just after the hour mark gave them the lead, as he hammered the ball into the net, after Tom Walsh's header was cleared off the line.
Sub Chad Abrams made sure of the victory as Tadley scored on the break as the home side pushed forward for an equaliser.
George Farrelly also hit the bar for the winners.
Manager Adam Clark was delighted with his first league win since taking over in the summer and said: "It was really great to get our first win and gives us something to build on."
On Tuesday night, Tadley were beaten at Baffins Milton Rovers 2-1, as Phillips was on the target for the visitors.
This Saturday, Tadley are back in league action with a tricky trip to Shaftesbury and then on Tuesday night they a tough game away at AFC Portchester in the second round of the League Cup
