TADLEY Calleva opened their FA Vase campaign with a 1-0 win over visiting Royal Wootton Bassett last Saturday.
The home side may have only won by a single goal, but manager Adam Clark felt his side controlled the game from the start and deserved their place in the first round proper of the campaign.
The winning goal in the contest came just after the hour mark, when Connor Thorne was clattered into the penalty area.
He dusted himself down and scored from the spot.
Rowan Vine nearly added a second, but his effort came back off the post.
The reward for the victory is a trip to Western Premier side Bitton AFC from Bristol. the tie will be played on Saturday, October 12.
This Saturday, Tadley are back in Wessex League Premier Division with a trip to Baffins Milton Rovers.
Then on Wednesday night, they are on their travels again with a trip to Winchester Castle.
