LAST season’s beaten North Hants May Cup finalists Silchester Village came back from goal down to beat Oakridge 9-3 in this year’s competition.
Sam Mosdell’s free-kick from distance gave Oakridge the lead after nine minutes.
Silchester’s Lee Champion and Charlie Manning made it 2-1 and Jake Barnes saved a penalty for Oakridge. Steve Burgess netted Silchester’s third, before Nathan Archer reduced the lead. Cameron George made it 4-2 at half-time. After the interval, Keith White added a fifth, but Oakridge’s Sam Trodd replied. Silchester then provided a master class in finishing as George and a late Scott Kinge brace completed the win
Tadley Calleva Development edged out AFC Berg 4-3. Visitors’ Keiron Alleyne netting on 16 minutes before Ellis Theodore levelled. Berg again edged ahead 2-1 through Luke Gore by half-time. Sub Lars Nicholas put Tadley 3-2 up, before Berg equalised. Fred Ball hit the winner with four minutes to go.
Renegades racked up a 4-0 lead at Basingstoke Athletic by half-time thanks Connor Morey, Richard Reece, Kenny Tyce and Merse Webb. A closer second half saw Renegades win 6-1 with Charlie Dobson on target. Athletic’s goal came from Michael Borbely.
Hook’s Jack McKee put them 1-0 up midway through the second half. Overton United Reserves replied with the tie settled in the last minute by Hook’s Charlie Parker.
Overton United A enjoyed a 9-0 rout of Renegades Reserves, thanks to Andrew Tottman (3), Andrew Bulloch (2), Oliver Parker (2), David Roffey and Liam Randall.
CK Andover lost 5-1 at AFC Aldermaston A. Ash Jones scored the first followed by own goal and strikes from Peter Raines, Vinny Kennedy and Tony Johnson. CK’s consolation came from Kieran Odey.
Chineham beat AFC Berg Reserves 4-0.
