SUPER sub Ryan Long scored twice and collected four assists as helped Whitchurch United came back from 2-0 down to beat visiting Ringwood 6-2 in the Wessex League Division One.
The visitors were very much better side in the first 45 minutes and deserved their 2-0 advantage.
However, the introduction of Long turned the game on its head and by just after the hour the Jam Boys led 3-2.
Nick Yeomans netted the first and then the goal of the game followed as Long took the ball from his own 18 yard line beat a number down the left and then crossed the ball in for Lloyd Thompson to tap home.
Robbie Henderson scored as Whitchurch, before a Long brace made the game safe.
Declan Shuttleworth added number six before the final whistle.
After the game manager Glyn Cherrett said: "It was a very good second half display and in the end we deserved the win. It would be nice if we could start at game like that."
On Wednesday night, Whitchurch booked their place in the last four of the North Hants Senior Cup with a 4-1 win over visiting Andover Town.
Shuttleworth led the scoring with a brace, while Thompson and Long were also on target. Harrison Hale scored for the visitors.
Tonight, Whitchurch are in league action at Romsey and on Saturday they travel to US Portsmouth, before next Wednesday taking on alton in their next home game in Division One
