TADLEY Calleva will be looking for more FA Vase glory this weekend, when they travel to take on Bitton in a first round tie.
The Gloucestershire side are sixth in the Western League, while Tadley are 12th in the Wessex League Premier.
Tadley boss Adam Clark knows it will be a tough trip and said: “We have not played well in our last two games, so I am hoping for a performance this weekend. We know it is going to be hard, but we have nothing to lose.”
Defender Andrew Charsley has returned from Basingstoke Town and Jake Nicholls is back, so Clark has a full squad to pick from.
Last Saturday, former Basingstoke Town star striker Tim Sills was in Tadley as the new manager of Hamworthy United.
The Dorset side took the lead in the fourth minute, but by half-time the scores were leave as Brett Denham’s cross was put away by Alex Fragata on the 22 minute mark.
After the interval, Hamworthy scored just after the hour and made the game safe eight minutes from time to win 3-1.
Tadley man of the match was Shemar Pettet for a very good performance, which included a couple of chances in the first-half.
After Saturday’s game, Tadley will be action again on Tuesday night, either at home in an FA Vase replay or they will face Winchester Castle in a North Hants Senior Cup quarter-final clash.
