BASINGSTOKE RFC under-13 team won their age group at the third annual RAF Girls Festival of Rugby.
The event took place at RAF Halton one of the largest RAF stations welcomed 1,000 under-13s, under-15s and under-18s girls from rugby clubs from right across the south of England and included the likes of such Reading, Peterborough, Basingstoke and many others.
This year, the tournament boasted a few honorary guests such as England rugby international Amy Cokayne who had a great reception from a welcoming audience.
The event was an opportunity for each of the girls participating to gain a flavour of what it’s like to be part of the RAF family.
This year, the RAF Rugby Union Women Inter-Services champions joined sponsors SecureCloud+ in making this year’s festival one to remember.
This weekend the Basingstoke senior men's team are back in league action when they face a visit from Weybridge Vandals in a London Three South West clash.
Stoke are currently fifth in the table, while their Surrey visitors this Saturday, are one place below them in the standings and both sides have an identical record of two wins and two losses from their first four league games.
