BASINGSTOKE Town moved off the bottom of the Southern League Division One South after an impressive 2-0 win at Barnstaple.
The Dragons' victory sent the Devon side to foot of the table.
Town manager Dan Brownlie made three changes to the side which lost last at home to Sholing with Freddie Gee, Ryan Suckling and D'andre Brown all returning to the starting line-up.
They replaced Aaron Watkins, Durrel Brown and Riccardo Andrady.
There was also a new face on the bench after the signing of former Hartley player/manager Ben Dillon, who had been playing at Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
Town started the game with the wind advantage and took the lead in the fourth minute.

The ball then hit the far post and the Barnstaple goalkeeper Steven Oliver and ends up in the net.
On the eighth minute, Cook has a great run and finds Ben Wright whose shot goes over after deflection.
Cook then forced a corner as his shot from the right is tipped onto the crossbar.
Barnstaple have a couple of attacks, but the Town defence is solid.
Then on 25 minutes, Wilson is put clear again, and he rounded the goalkeeper, but his shot was blocked by a defender and after number of corners the home side finally get the ball clear.
On 35 minutes, the visitors doubled their lead after the Dragons won a free-kick just past the halfway line.
Alfie Saunders sent in a great ball which is met by the head of Dean Stow.
The ball looped up and thanks to the wind drops down and hits the far post on its way into the net.
Town had the first attack of the second half as Adam Everiss is able to release Wilson, but his effort was saved.
Seven minutes into the second and the visitor's goalkeeper Gee was called into action to make a save and just after the hour mark Gee at full length makes an excellent stop.
On 72 minutes, Kai Fisher's bad tackle on Town's Harrison Cliff earned the Barnstaple man a second yellow card, having picked up one earlier in the half so the Devon side are reduced to 10 men.
A minute later, new signing Dillon comes on for Wright and with six minute left an injured Cliff is replaced by Riccardo Andrady, as the visitors make sure of the win.
This Tuesday, Town are in action again at Winchester City's ground when they take on league leaders Thatcham Town.
