TEN man Reading held on to force a replay with visiting Championship rivals Cardiff City, after it finished 1-1.
Both goals came in the first 10 minutes of the contest, as the Bluebirds scored first from Callum Paterson and then Yakou Meite levelled.
With nine minutes left in the contest, Reading's Tom McIntyre was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
Cardiff's Sol Bamba could have won it for the Welsh side, but missed an open goal from close range.
The FA Cup game was marred by the warnings to the Cardiff fans for homophobic or racist chants at half-time.
The draw means both sides are in the fifth round draw. The replay is on Tuesday, February 4 and before this the sides meet in the Championship on Friday in Cardiff as well.
Next for the Royals is a home game on Tuesday night (8pm) against Bristol City.
